Summer Camp 2016

The club welcomed Rory Coltham as guest coach for this years Summer Camp, with over 140 places during the 3 days it proved to be yet another success for the club. Rory has just completed his Masters at Loughborough University, he has spent the last 4 years studying at the University while playng for the Mens 1st team. He has played all 4 years in the National League including a year in the Premier League, he was also part of the BUCS winning squad this year. Rory made his National League debut at the age of 15 when playing for Plymouth Marjons - a side that also featured 3 of the current Tavistock Mens 1st team.
The successful camp was made possible thanks to the comittment of the club coaches who were there to run sessions and work with Rory to provide a positive experience for all those that attended. The club coaches involved were Dom Stanbury, Janice Scott, Ryan Passmore, Sam Willetts, Tom Honey, Jenny Pollock and Katy Kelly.
Organiser Simon Fenwick also thanked TK Hockey for supplying all the t-shirts and gifts for the players as well as the new coaching tops, a TK rep was also present on the last day to offer advice to players and parents on sticks and equipment and also provided the oppotunity for equipment to be purchased. The camp could not run without the continued support from Mount Kelly, all those that attended were provided with lunch and had the opportunity to go swimming as part of the day.
