Tavistock A 5. Okehampton A 3
Having drawn the previous week, Tavistock were looking to get back not winning ways, but missing some key personnel, especially in defence, they knew this would be a challenge.
Okehampton capitalised from the new defensive lineup and following some early possession from Tavi', they broke through and scored a clinical goal.
Tavistock gained some momentum and played their passing game and started to create chances. The first of which was slotted home by Captain Orman.
This settled the Tavistock side who began to play with more confidence. The pressure was very much in the direction of the visitors goal, but Oke were always dangerous on the break and kept on threatening to score more.
Tavi' managed to capitalise on their possession and moved further ahead via goals from Walker and Orman.
Okehampton would just not give up and continued to threaten and scored a second just before half time, to close the gap.
Following a constructive half time talk, the home side started more in control and held possession for long periods. This possession managed to result in further goals from Reynolds and Orman to give a feeling of safety.
Okehampton had different ideas and continued to battle to pull a further goal back and add some nerves to the game.
A great game played on a lovely day in good spirit.
Next week, Tavistock travel to Truro.
