THC Coach Development session with Justin King

The session was hosted by the club and run by Justin King and was open to all coaches in the club and other clubs in Devon, the session was well attended with 25 coaches 18 of which were from other clubs in Devon.
The session focused on core skills that are essential for coaches to deliver to younger players but also skills that should be delivered at all ages and levels of playing experience. Justin was able to demonstarte his own personal coaching philosophy but also mix that with the views of current international players and coaches. This gave all those attending an up to date view of what should be coached and also the technical information of why and how to deliver the content.
There are plans for Justin to return next Summer to deliver 2 more workshops to progress from the content this Summer, the workshops next Summer are likely to focus on conditioned games (examples of games, how to incorporate the technical information and how to apply to an actual game) and team play (pressing, out letting and how to play certain formations).
