Tavistock Men's team made it 6 league wins out of 6 by emphatically beating Plymouth Uni 3rds 14 - 0. The reds raced into an early lead with Josh Walker opening the scoring with a quick double including a fine solo run with a deft finish to end. Andy Berry then scored the third and this was followed up by a quick double by Jimmy Berry whose second goal was an absolute belter. Tom Honey then scored his first and the team's 6th to go in at half time 6 nil to the good. The quick-tempo hockey followed in the second half and goals just kept going in. Mark Forshaw finally got on the score sheet with the opening goal of the second half. The floodgates opened and the Tavistock Men just kept pouring forward and shooting at will. Josh Walker scored a further four goals to take his tally to six for the game, Andy Berry volleyed in his second, and both Tom Honey and Mark Forshaw, (trademark drag flick) doubled their tally to two each to make the final score 14 nil. Man of the match went to Josh Walker and Donkey of the Day to Mark Forshaw. The team will have a real test next week when they travel away to play Devonport Services with some key players unavailable.
