Truro B. 2. Tavistock A. 4
Tavistock took the first of their longer journeys into Cornwall for this away game.
Truro were playing a large and experienced squad and the hockey they played belied their league position.
Tavistock were again fielding a new line up in defence and took some time to settle the obvious nerves.
Tavistock dominated the opening stages of the game and it looked likely that a goal was to come. It took 15 minutes before Tavistock found the net via Orman and Truro had not really ventured out of their half.
This goal seemed to be the wake up call that Truro needed and they came right back into it via a strong shot that eluded the impressive Grahame.
Truro had their tails up and found the net again after they capitalised on the defensive inexperience and scored a simple tap in.
The visitors were not to be outdone, and carried on relentlessly attacking and the reward came via Orman again.
The second half saw a bit more composure and Tavi' managed to start building from the back. New boy and man of the match Jacob Staig, was a stalwart in defence and was linking well with Hansen and Honey who were feeding the midfield.
Tavistock continued to dominate the attack and further goals via Walker and Barnes reflected the domination and any further chances that Truro had were thwarted at the early stages.
This result puts Tavistock top, with a home game next week against Bodmin.
