Plymouth Uni B. 3. Tavistock A 9
This was a fantastic team performance by Tavistock A.
Having had a great result against Plymouth last week, Tavistock wanted to take the performance up to a greater level.
Having received detailed instructions from the Head Coach, the 2's played with great structure and intensity.
From the back, with Grahame in goal, he marshalled his defence and this confidence rippled through the team.
The speed, passing and determination were a credit to the Tavistock side, who managed a good Uni side with little concerns.
Captain Olman led from the front and scored some dynamic goals. Pressure from the midfield and forwards with the press, created errors from the students, who relinquished possession at crucial times and conceded goals as a result.
With too many goals to mention, the work rate and and creativity were a credit. Carr at the back, was strong as always and some of his pin point passes, turned the screw constantly on the Uni, when the Tavi defence was under pressure.
This is early days in the season, but the Tavistock A's can take the first two results as significant stepping stones to a positive season.
