Tavistock were looking for a strong performance to pull them back to the top of the league last Saturday.
Having beaten ED away earlier in the season and fielding a strong squad, Tavi were confident in the result. This was not to be!
In a game that was shifting from end to end, it was the visitors that played the more structured and composed game and Tavistock never really settled into their game.
Plenty of chances were had at either end and Tavistock probably had the greater opportunities. East Devon had a very strong keeper and with some fine saves managed to keep a clean sheet.
Tavistock went behind in the first half to a well struck short corner and finally lost the game to a late strike following an incisive move down the centre.
Tavistock's strength is very much the structure an speed, but this lacked in the performance and away next to table top topping Teign, will have to be much improved.
