Tavistock travelled to Cornwall looking to open up a bigger lead on their match day opponents who sit in second place in the league. The Reds started brightly and took an early lead through the ever impressive Ollie Richards, Tavistock won a free hit on the half way line and thanks to the quick thinking of skipper Tom Honey they were quickly on the attack, Honey and Fenwick linked well on the right and when the latter found Richards in the D there was only ever going to be one outcome. The lead was soon doubled when Fenwick flicked a penalty corner past the Duchy keeper and with both post players unable to stop the ball crossingt he line the Reds had opened up a two goal lead. With just under 15 minutes remaining in the first half the home side scored twice in the space of four minutes to bring the game level at 2-2. Tavistock remained composed in possesion of the ball and went in to the half time break 4-2 up thanks to goals from Will Jones and Fenwick. Duchy suffered an injury blow when two players collided with eachother, the resulting injuries meant both players did not return to the game. The visitors looked to capatlise on the situation, Honey hit a pin point pass out of defence to forward Bob Carr who showed the skill to elininate his man before threading a ball through to Fenwick who was left one on one with the keeper, the Tavistock front man rounded the keeper at diving at full length was able to slap the ball into the goal to claim his second successive hatrick in the league. Despite scoring five goals and creating many more chances it was the solid defensice performance that provided the platform for their 14th successive league win (18th win in all competitons) of the season. Despite being reduced to 10 men following another injury the home side scored the last goal of the game following a peanlty corner in the last five miuntes. The victory moves Tvistock 11 points clear of their match day opponents and 14 points ahead of third placed Marjons.
